Inscription on front reads:
Greyhounds
are a gentle breed capable of reaching 37 mph! They are delightful
to be around and are a relaxing companion when retired from racing.
The name Greyhound derives from the old Saxon word grei, meaning
fine, or beautiful. Well-known in ancient Greece& Egypt as an
excellent sight hound, the Greyhound was once called the gaze hound.
The beautiful & graceful Greyhound has a streamlined body. When
running, its long thin tail works a keel, and the ears are bent back
toward the neck.
Help save our precious "retired" racing companions by giving
or adopting a Greyhound.
